I grew up in the Houston area, and from since I can remember I have been an Astros fan. In fact, as a kid I was a little baseball obsessed. I played baseball, I collected baseball cards - I actually still have a closet full of them, and I watched a LOT of baseball. My grandad and mom were Dodgers fans, specifically fans of the great Sandy Koufax. Koufax was a left-handed pitcher, and one of the greatest pitchers in baseball history. I watched plenty of Dodgers baseball with my gramps in the last few years of his life, and learned lots of great trash talk.
Being an Astros fan hasn't always been easy. They have had some long and hard seasons, and of course some beautiful and great seasons. I've stuck by them all of these years, and my 12 year old dreams finally came true when they won the 2017 World Series. I love the tenacity and spirit of Jose Altuve, he is humble and is a great man of faith. His quote “To achieve success wasn't to get into the major leagues or have the best season in the world. The best success is to live your life the way God wants you to,” is very meaningful to me!
My business partner Paul Foley has a similar love for the NFL team the Miami Dolphins. He even mentions them in his business bio: "I continue to support them no matter how unfortunate the season and hope for better years to come!"
